RN Recovery (Per Diem)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recovery Nurse provides expert professional nursing care; assesses,
plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent
or potential health problems; and participates in the management of the department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will be indicated by graduation from an accredited RN school of nursing; current State RN licensure; current CPR certification; ACLS certification; additional experience in PACU, ICU or orthopedic floor nursing; willingness to assign high priority to patient safety, comfort and satisfaction; the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and the ability to work compatibly with physicians, other department members, and clinic employees in other departments.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include ability to stand/walk for up to twelve hours/day; regularly bend, stoop, twist; assist patients (170 pound avg.) in turning and sitting in bed; regularly assist patient in arising from gurney and transferring to chair; push wheelchair patients; and regularly assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair. PPE (person protective equipment) is provided, MSDS (material safety data sheets) on chemicals. Safely communicate with patient, coworker, and physician.
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (FT, PT, Per Diem)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse provides expert professional nursing care; assesses,
plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent
or potential health problems; and participates in the management of the department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will be indicated by graduation from an accredited RN school of nursing; current State licensure; CPR certification; minimum of two years perioperative experience; dedication to patient safety, comfort and satisfaction; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members; and ACLS certification.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, regularly bend, stoop, twist; occasionally, up to maximum of 20 times, will lift a maximum of 25 pounds from autoclave; push gurney occupied by patient, pull/push OR equipment (i.e. video cart) assist patient in moving from gurney or recliner to OR bed (170 lbs. avg.), assist in moving anesthetized patient from OR bed to gurney (normally four people coordinate the lifting, pushing/pulling of the anesthetized patient from OR bed to gurney); possess manual dexterity to safely and efficiently handle instruments and pass instruments to surgeons. Communicates effectively and safely with patient, coworker, and physician. PPE (person protective equipment) is provided, i.e. lead apron, etc., MSDS (material safety data sheets) on chemicals.
Surgical Technician (Per Diem)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The surgical technician assists surgeon by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs; implements and adheres to all policies and procedures of the facility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of operating room technician program or military operating room training and/or minimum of 2 years varied operating room scrubbing experience, preferably with orthopedic experience and ambulatory surgery experience, current CPR certification.
Minimum 2 years varied operating room scrubbing experience, preferably with extensive orthopedic experience. Ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
National board certification preferred. If LVN, must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess current California LVN license.
